The Board Game
In part 2, candidates need to show the examiner that they can not only describe images but also compare and contrast them and speculate about what they show. This game helps students develop the skills they need to get a high score in part 2 of the exam.
Students race against the clock to come up with comparative and speculative sentences. As they move around the board, they speak about different topics, winning points for good FCE part 2 sentences. Students love the competitive element of this game and the key language boxes help them to compare, contrast and speculate with ease. Makes part 2 a doddle!

The ESL lesson plan, materials and game board are PDF files which are easy to download and print at A4 size. These files can be easily blown up to A3 if you prefer.
