Spanish False Friends Game
Every ESL teacher knows that the most common errors made by Spanish speakers are due to intrusion from their first language. This game offers a fun way to make students more aware of the differences between English and Spanish and the false friends that tend to trip them up.
This PDF download includes the board, instructions and a cheat sheet so that students can check each other's answers as they play. The cheat sheet can also be a handy guide for them to take home and study.

The Board Game
Students race around the board answering questions related to false friends or differences between English and Spanish. They check each other's answers with the cheat sheet, meaning they're learning even when it's not their turn.
The winner is the first student to get to the end.

File Format
The instructions and game materials are on an A4 size PDF. These files can be easily blown up to A3 if you prefer. They can also be displayed on screens or interactive whiteboards. Each game we make is black and white for effective, inexpensive photocopying.
