If you'd like more activities to help your students learn and practise the grammar, download the full lesson plan.
The Board Game
Students race around the Game of Second and Third conditionals. Each number that they land on corresponds to a different conditional question, if they've rolled an odd number they must answer the question themselves, if they've rolled an even number they can nominate another player to answer. The first to finish wins!
Conditionals are a key part of any speaking exam, this game gives students a great opportunity to put them into practice, using them in conversation until they become second nature.
File Format
The instructions and game materials are PDF files which print at A4 size. These files can be easily blown up to A3 if you prefer. They can also be displayed on screens or interactive whiteboards. Each game we make is black and white for effective, inexpensive photocopying.
